A dear online friend of mine is going through cancer treatment. I'm so very proud of her because she stepped outside of the "norm" and is pursuing natural ways to help her body heal itself. The Gerson Therapy is a whole-body approach to healing with no damaging side effects.
In the midst of her experience, she shared a book recommended to her that she feels is making a huge difference. She specifically mentioned autoimmune disease and lupus, so I looked into the situation and ended up buying the book. The Plant Paradox is an interesting compilation of information and scientific study, but when my dietician friend found out I got it, she had some legitimate concerns. |
“Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves." Matthew 10:16
With this outlook in mind, there are some very interesting points in the research Dr. Gundry has done. There are also some things as a farm girl and Bible believer that I totally disagree with. We need to remember, sometimes these smart scientists don't have the basic, down-to-earth experience to back up their claims in real life. Don't doubt yourself in those instances. Think beyond the methodology and consider the old-fashioned, time-honored truths as well.
